Baby Steps

Work is slowly starting to progress here in Coops-town! We're making small steps right now that will help in the long run. We're still trying to strengthen the members and help our investigators get to church. SO many people here work at the hospital, so it's difficult for people to get work off on Sundays. I know things will work out though!

The other day I guessed how many miles we were going to drive, and I guessed 78 miles. At the end of the day we drove 79 miles! I was SOO stinkin' close... only one off!!!!! It was awesome haha :) It's funny what small things bring missionaries joy! Oh, and this week Sister Langford and I have been playing "Would You Rather" a lot to help lighten the mood and help us laugh more. We've come up with some great ones haha. The other day we were in the car with our Branch Mission Leader/his wife, and we hit a deer! Luckily we were okay and the deer didn't damage the car too much, but the deer here are crazy! We have a deer whistle on our car, so hopefully they'll stay away from our car haha.

This week we also canned peaches with one of our recent converts who's 89 years old. That was a lot of fun! We were able to watch the General RS Broadcast too, so that was great! I loved being able to listen to our prophet and leaders of our church. I got 3 things out of it that I want to apply more:  1-Keep my covenants and remember them more often. 2- Remember my worth and that God loves me. 3-TRUST God... especially through the hard times.

I'm grateful for the change that I have to be on a mission, and to be learning so much. There are days when I'm REALLY tired and I want to quit, but I keep going and in the end I know I'll be happy that I did. I wouldn't sacrifice my family, friends, and time for anything except the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is the most important thing to me. I love it and I'm willing to fight for it :)

Keep being strong and remember that God is with you always :) Love you all!

Love, Sister Hansen <3
