Happy Easter and April Fool's Day!

This week has been great! We have been doing a lot of tracting. Most people turn us away, but there have been a few people that have let us in. They weren't necessarily interested in what we had to say, but we had some good conversations about religion. We have a small teaching pool of about 6 people. A lot of them are getting closer to baptism, which is SO exciting :) Their names are Millie, Dylan, Ashley, Annette, and Roxanne.

While tracting this week, we found 4 new people who want to start learning! The Lord is definitely helping us every step of the way. There are days when all people do is slam the door in your face, but when you find that one person who wants to know more... every single slammed door becomes worth it :)

We've met some pretty interesting people here! I think that's the biggest thing I've had to get used to. People aren't always mentally there, and aren't clean or take care of themselves. So it's frustrating trying to find people to teach sometimes, because you don't even know if they're mentally sane. Most houses are completely falling apart. We get really uncomfortable at people's houses because they're so dirty and gross... but I'm learning to just accept it. I'm trying to look past all of that and see how the gospel could help turn that around.

We come across a lot of hoarders, and people who just trash everything. When I imagined New York, I imagined a really high class place... but I guess where we were it's not that way. I'm sure there are nicer places in the city, but not here haha. Definitely different... but I'm sure I'll get used to it!

The members have been feeding us Easter dinners, with fun activities like coloring Easter eggs and finding baskets :) Almost EVERYONE has a dog, which I love. Most of the times they're nice, but sometimes we come across scary ones. The weather has been getting a little warmer, but like Utah, it can change in 5 minutes haha!

There are days when I KNOW that I couldn't get through them alone, and that's when I'm grateful for your prayers. The Lord is helping me tremendously, and I feel so blessed. The gospel is true, and I love it. I have truly seen what this world is like without it, and I've only been out a couple weeks. I want to save my brothers and sisters. I love them a want to help them. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us, and we need to let EVERYONE know that.

I hope all of you had a great Easter and Happy April Fool's Day!!! :)

Love, Sister Hansen
